An eighty-year-old Uruguayan photographer living in Brazil, Ernesto has been facing the troubles of old age. He is losing his vision. He feels estranged from his son. He faces the reality of living his final years by himself as a widower. As days go by, he realizes that growing old could mean learning to live with sadness, with loneliness, with memories or the loss of them. To grow old may also mean to have fun with one’s ghosts, to indulge oneself in the blurred images of blindness, to feel young again with the friendship of a young neighbor trying to discover life. It also may not be too late to reconnect with a love never forgotten.
